Blessed

I'm a little behind due to the craziness of the holiday season and all the celebrations, family time and reconnecting with friends.  Todd and I did get to take a time out and enjoy just the two of us for a little date night.  My parents watched Mikaela and we went off to Anthony's in Everett.

When we were seated, we noted that there was a man and woman going from table to table with a giant Christmas tree.  When they got to our table they explained with a letter that this was an "advent tree" and they were continuing a tradition of sorts from when the woman was a child.  The tree was made by the man (who was her dad) when she went off to college.  At each table one person was to pick a number that corresponded with a gift.  This was their way of paying it forward and sharing JOY in this holiday season.

My handsome date
At the end of the evening - Todd and I thoroughly enjoyed our time, when the waitress came to bring us our bill, we were surprised and shocked to find that another patron had paid our bill in full!  We sat stunned and did not know what to do.

We felt truly blessed during the holiday season, as this season is an expensive one, with holiday gifts, bills and being blessed with ability to stay at home with little miss.  This date was one blessing that I could not ever have managed, and one day I hope to give someone the same feeling that we were given that night.
