an american girl birthday

My little cousins turned "8" this past week, the girls are 5 days apart (I can remember being a freshman in the dorms when they were born!, my how time flies!)  We celebrated their birthdays by having lunch at the American Girl Store!

The Birthday Girls!!!

Molly and I both sent in our RSVP's, and had a delightful time there!

Molly and I with our party outfits!  (Side note, her birthday dress, is the only dress of her that I don't have.  The pattern is currently cut out, and has been for quite a few years.  Some day I will finally sew).  Molly is "old" now, as she has retired, and new dolls are hitting the scene.

Appetizer of star and heart shaped fruits!

Dessert!  The store does such a great job of catering to their audience.  Being at the store, brought back such great memories that I have playing with Molly and our adventures.

Jenna and I with Molly.  She got her own high chair, and cup and saucer!

All in all it was a fabulous time with the ladies!  (The boys went to watch Matthew play baseball in the state tournament!)

shop til you drop

Now that Todd and I are back to being within an hour's drive from each other, life is FABULOUS!!!!
We have been busy planning for our wedding, discussing our finances (an acquaintance wrote a really neat blog about (How to Have a Money Date), dreaming about the future and just enjoying being back together in the person.

A few weekends ago we went to register for dishes, bedding and more.  = )  We discovered Todd may have a new calling, as he enjoyed scanning in the items and he also has more shopping endurance.  We had to stop and take a break to re-energize with coffee for me.

On another side note, I took the two "little" girls shopping along with Alyssa to find their flower girl dresses.  We started off with lunch at McDonald's (their choice!).  We had success at our first stop with the dresses and the final stop for their shoes.  It was great fun to hear them giggling in the dressing room as they tried on the different dresses.

* But the sad news is my computer crashed, and I am having to rely on Todd's computer (and I still haven't figured out how to upload my camera photos yet).

My OH my

Welcome back baseball, welcome back.

Todd and I had the opportunity (thanks work!) to attend the opening festivities at Safeco Field.

The Mariner's hold a special place in my heart, besides the many great memories growing up.  Having inside picnics with bratwurst watching the season openers, celebrating several birthday in the kingdom and Safeco; my last first date was a Mariner's game.

Todd invited me to an Angels v Mariner's game, and it seemed innocent enough to me.  After all I was from Washington, and love sports, so why wouldn't I go.  Plus, Mariner star pitcher Felix Hernandez was starting.  So, I agreed to meet him at the stadium.   And as they say, the rest is history...

It was Todd' first experience to the Safe, and the Mariner's put on a show as they beat the Astro's 3-0.
