December - Quick Takes

1. Apple Cup Date with my Daddy O.  UW won - and the sunshine only added to the awesomeness of the game. 

 

 2. O Christmas Tree!!! We went to a local tree farm to cut down our tree this year.  Todd and I thought we were being so sneaky - we decorated the tree during naptime.  Only to have it fall when Mikaela woke up.  So we got extra practice this year  :)

 3. Todd got to join the cousins for a Seahawks game and win!!!

 4. Meanwhile Momma and Mikaela took in a kids concert (of course in Hawks gear!).  We went with our buddies to the show, where we danced and ate snacks.

5. Nate and Jenna came up to visit for the weekend.  We enjoyed playing games and staying cozy!

6. The most exciting thing to happen to my H.S. and I was there to witness it :)  Russell Wilson (the Hawks QB) came to watch his sister play basketball (she was on the opposing team).

 7. Mikaela met Santa Claus.  This year she was not as happy about it.  We went to a friend's cookie decorating party and Santa was there!

Thanksgiving

This month of November we have so much to be thankful for:

- enjoying our little girl whose personality is fun, silly and loving!
- the clean bill of health my aunt (who had a miraculous healing!)
- no damage to our house after a tree fell in a windstorm


We started off Thanksgiving morning with a chilly Turkey Trot.  We all managed to plod through a 5k at 8 am under blue skies, sunshine and temperatures in the 20's...

Little miss had her first turkey dinner.  She enjoyed a roll, potatoes, turkey and green bean casserole.  For dessert she had her own mini pumpkin pie - which she thoroughly enjoyed!!!  It was a great afternoon with the family - playing Bingo! celebrating a cousins 18th birthday, making ugly sweaters and eating yummy delicious food.
