March came in like a lion, and it might just go out like a lamb... It's been raining non-stop this month (or at least that's how we feel up here in the PNW).
We did sneak a day in at the zoo! Complete with hot coffee and donuts. Miss M wanted to bring her monies to the zoo (she had some from Valentine's Day that came from family). She brought her 'wallet' and as we left we went to the store at her wish. She went through the store and picked out a stuffed giraffe - we have named her Jane the Giraffe. It was so sweet watching her give the cashier her money, and her excitement in her first purchase. (Of course I haven't snapped a pic of Jane and Mikaela yet).

My girlfriend's husband put together a birthday weekend celebration. We went to Salish Lodge for a 24 hour getaway. It was the perfect time away - nestled in the mountains a short car ride away.

Mikaela got to spend the weekend with my parents while Todd and I went to a wedding. Here she is with her dolly Becky and her backpack. She is quite proud that she can wear it.
Todd had an early game (FINALLY!) and we were able to cheer Daddy on.
It was M's first time watching Daddy. She was worried every time he
went to the ice to stop a goal.

We live right by the fire department. Frequently we drive by and count the trucks/ambulances that we can see. We finally had a sun break - and we walked down. The garage doors were open - the firefighter was so friendly! Giving us stickers and allowing us to sit up in the trucks. M loves to see them!
I was able to talk my good friend from PT school to come up to Washington in the spring. We went to Tacoma and took a weekend continuing education class. It was great to spend time uninterrupted together - it had been over a year since we had last seen each other. Her husband joined her on Sunday, staying the night at our house. It was so good to have old friends come up and visit and gather around the table. The visit was too short as always and can't wait until the next time!
