We started off our holiday weekend with the UW v Alabama game. It was a
very exciting season the Dawgs went almost undefeated! And they were
ranked number four qualifying for the championship playoff game. Todd
and I have split season tickets with my parents over the last few
seasons, so we have been able to witness the rise and return of the
Purple Reign.
| The J boys made elephant ears |
Since
Alabama's mascot is the elephant, the Todd and the boys had an idea. We
could make elephant ears - and eat up our opponent. The boys found a
recipe, had a practice day, and served them up on game day. They were
delicious!!!

Unfortunately the Huskies lost, but not without great effort. They went up against the #1 ranked team and last years National Champion. We didn't have any plans for ringing in New Years. We were recovering from a quick trip to California and the a nasty flu/cold. Instead we ordered take out from the local Mexican restaurant and watched Little Mermaid. I'm not sure I even want to admit this, but both Todd and I fell asleep on the couch, and turned into bed before midnight... Oh well... there's always next year.

The next day, HS friends graciously hosted a brunch and time for us to hangout. M and her friend are 6 weeks apart, and now are interacting and playing with each other. It was fun watching them run and laugh together. Can't wait for more fun times over the years.
Happy New Year's to you and yours. Wishing 2017 is off to a wonderful start.
