15 Months

Mikaela is becoming less of a 'baby'  and more of a little toddler.  Which is fitting as she now goes to the toddler house at daycare.  She moved shortly after her first birthday - especially once she became proficient at walking!

From her 15 month check up: 31.5 inches (78%) and 21 pounds 10 ounces

Eating - Mikaela loves eating her apples!  Her first 'tantrum' came last week, when Momma couldn't get into the house fast enough, and cut and skin the peel for her.  She was on the floor, kicking legs, sobbing and I was fighting back the laughter.
She also likes to eat what everyone else is having for dinner too.  So much so, that we stopped packing her meals for daycare.  They provided meals, and she wasn't interested in her home meals.

Vocabulary:  Mikaela's vocabulary has just taken off, this list is not all of her words, but just an example: "ball", "momma' "dada" "night night" "all done" "woof" "apple" "cracker" "book"
She also signs "more" and "water"

She also is learning her animal noises - bear, dog, cow, duck.  To point to her different facial body parts, and of course her heart!

Loves: Her dogs!! She gets so excited when she sees dogs in person, on the television (she only gets exposed to this when the sports are on - which is a LOT in our house), in pictures, etc.  The other day we were outside with the chalk, and she followed the dogs down the street.

My uncle bought this giant dog for Mikaela (as he knew she had a love of dogs).  Mumford Jr. is named after a similar stuffed dog that my aunt and him had when I was Mikeala's age.

Her books, she enjoys taking them off of the bookshelf and reading them or having momma/dada read to her.
