Vacation

We took the last week of August off to enjoy a week in Lake Chelan, and then to head over to Spokane.  Our plans had to change sadly due to terrible fire conditions in and around the lake.  While we were bummed to not be able to go to our favorite place, our hearts were at a loss for the people whose homes were destroyed.

We quickly adapted and made the most of our 'staycation'.  Sorry for the photo dump, but what is vacation without all the photos??

We started off celebrating at a Mexican Fiesta for this lil guys 1st birthday

Mom and Dad then gifted Todd and I a stay at the Woodmark Hotel in Kirkland!  What a fabulous  location, right on Lake Washington.  They advertised as having kayak and bike rentals, but with little sweet pea, we were hesitant to try those out.  We enjoyed walks on the property.  It was almost as if we were staying at Wapato, with boats going by and the waves lapping the shore.

The next day we enjoyed a trip to the zoo, zoo, zoo. How about you, you, you?

The next day we celebrated Todd and I's birthday with my sister and parents.  Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures.  I think I might need my head examined, lol...

We headed out early on Thursday morning for SPOKANE!! To visit a dear friend and her sweet growing family.  Here is a picture of the girls all loaded up in their car.

While we were there we celebrated my 29th birthday, and her son's 6th birthday (birthday twins)

We had a wonderful, relaxing week - with no appointments or obligations to do anything.  We had fun, we rested, but most importantly we enjoyed time together.
