CA trip

California Girlie

We went to California for a weekend at the beginning of June (and now it's the last day of JUNE, how is it that tomorrow is JULY!?!).  Here is a quick recap of our trip down to SoCal and to visit family.

Meeting Grandma in the Airport

LA Grand Central Market

 I had read about the LA Grand Central Market in the Seattle Times.  It was compared to Pike's Place - so I expected local artists and lots of flowers... Instead we were met with lots of little restaurant stands.  We decided next time we would forgo In-n-Out and try a place here.

 We missed seeing Rachel (sad face) as she was about to enter finals week - poor planning on our part. But we did get to see lots of other family and friends.

Mikaela got to experience the sand and the ocean for the first time.  She wasn't quite sure about the cold waves that hit her feet.  Can't wait for the time to build sandcastles and jump the waves with her. 

We enjoyed our quick trip down and can't wait for our next visit!
