10 Months

Whelp, I'm a bit late in posting this, but here is the monthly catch up on Miss Mikaela!

Miss Mikaela turned 'double digits' this past week - TEN months old that is.  During this past month she went to the doctor for her nine month check up.  She is 28.94 inches (85%) and 17 pounds 1 ounce (26%).  We made a trip down to Children's for her to get tested for hereditary spherocytosis (which came back negative, she really does take after her daddy). We rarely hear that Mikaela looks like mama, but a lot like Daddy's side of the family.

Mikaela has really latched onto her puppy dog.  We call him "Harry Husky".  I had been trying to get her to like "Strawberry" as it had her name on it.  One day she found Harry underneath her crib, and she hasn't looked back since.  Mikaela can say, "Woof" (or we like to think that is the noise she makes).

This sweet girl got her first bout of the flu.  We were on our way to a wedding, and though maybe Mikaela got carsick.  She continued to vomit, so we knew it wasn't the flu so much.  Sweet girl, vomited, and then began to clap her hands.

Nana and Poppa came and rescued Momma and Daddy who also caught the bug as well.
Nana got to watch Mikaela most of July and parts of August.  I so enjoyed having Mikaela with mom, and knew that they were having lots of fun times.
They even went to training camp!!!
This girl can now wave bye bye and waves hello.  She is pulling to a stand everywhere!!!
She is a bit of a bookworm too

She still has 6 teeth still.  She is eating puffs by herself, rice cereal and occasionally applesauce.  She is a picky eater - and wants to be independent, which makes things a tad difficult.
But she did get to enjoy her first lick of an ice cream cone... and no she didn't eat this cinnamon roll.

She had a few firsts including her first boat ride to go crabbing in Everett,
a Mariner's game for cousins birthday,
and her first trip to the playground, in our neighborhood.
